June 13, 2013   Abby has become very protective of little TJ.  Tonight a man who works here came to the door and I told him to come in to prevent any unauthorized escapes.  He noticed TJ and picked  him up and cuddled him.  Abby got very upset, barking and growling as if to tell him that this was HER kitten and not his!  She seems to think that she is the family protector, which I guess is natural.

June 12, 2013  Abby and Boo Boo left early this morning for the Neuter Scooter (Animal Coalition of Tampa).  Of course, I worried all day about them, but they were just fine as all the others have been.  We had to carefully lift Abby out of the front seat of the truck, which was no easy task, she is a little heavy.  She has lost her appetite, but hopefully that will come back when she feels better.

When I opened the cage for Boo Boo when we got home, he shot out, ran into the living room and acted as if nothing had happened at all!

June 5, 2013   Early this morning I looked out the sliding glass doors and saw a tiny kitten sitting on the step, I think 5 or 6 weeks old.  He was looking around, as if confused as to why the people with the chicken and cream were not feeding him.  I captured him fairly quickly and brought him in and naturally fed him the expected chicken and cream.  He adapted to us in just a few minutes and just LOVES being here.  He enjoys playing with other cats and dogs and he certainly has a good selection of playmates here.

I have alerted the neighbors that there may be more kittens out there, after all, they seldom come singly, but so far no one has found any others.
