Josephine is a true Manx. No tail at all!
Some people brought her to the house one night in a box with about a half inch of bleach in it. I washed her little paws right away to try to take away the sting of the bleach.
She had problems using the littler box and suffered from constipation for about six months. The vet told me that cats that have no tail whatsoever often lack the muscles to poo. A laxative for the six months did the trick and she's doing just fine on her own now.
She's very shy and lives mainly in the computer room, hallway and bathroom, only venturing out when the other cats are outside. She's fascinated by the toilet flushing and has to jump up to watch the water go around. I have to admit, sometimes if she's in the bathroom, I flush the toilet solely for her entertainment.
