Bedroom Cat

When my cat, BooBoo wanted to come indoors, he would sit on the patio doorsill and wait.  One afternoon, I saw a black cat, sitting on the doorsill and I opened the door.  The cat walked in, then BooBoo came up from behind me.  Who did I just let into my house?

This was a cat that was coming for breakfast in the morning.  She didn’t behave like the other cats who would eat and then go home.  She would just wait on the porch for me to come out again when she would rub on my legs.  I wondered if maybe she didn’t have a home to go to.  It was cold and I was happy that I had provided a heated cat house.  It seemed as if she was living in there.  Apparently she was until she realized how to trick me into letting her inside!

She walked around and looked at things as if to say, “Yes, this will do.  I can live here”.  She went into my bedroom and jumped up on the bed apparently choosing her side.

She was very friendly and loves to cuddle with me at night.

Then, her hair started falling out.  As of now, she is naked from about half way down her body, tail to chest.  Her back legs are ok, the front legs are a little sparse.  The vet said she showed no signs of a parasites, but was probably allergic to the food I was giving her.  So, I changed the food, again, and again and again.  She seemed to improve for awhile, then I went to Florida for a couple of weeks and when I got back she was worse than ever.   I wonder now if it is OCD.  When she uses the litter box, she scratches for a good five minutes.  She also drinks only from the tap if it is running a very thin stream.  If the tap isn’t on, she will howl until I do that for her.

She has a very nice heated bed and stays there most of the day but at night she just wants to cuddle.
