Wildlife abounds where I live. Several years ago we kept chickens which brought a lot of different predators into our yard especially at night. We had bobcats (2 varieties), a Florida Panther, huge owls (one took my big rooster one night), coyotes and smaller animals such as raccoons and possums. Finally I gave up the chickens, it broke my heart to see them picked off. Even though we had them locked up, these predators are masters at getting into the coop.
