Sam

Sam didn't stay with us long.  He came from a neighbor too and had been kept tied to a tree for a long time.  He never bonded with people and didn't make a good pet.

I felt sorry for him one night and reached for his blanket which he had covered in dirt and pushed away.  He was lying on the cold concrete and I thought i would shake the dirt out of the blanket, fold it and put it where he could lay on it.

He must have misunderstood my intentions and bit my arm.  His teeth were so large, the upper ones passed the lower ones in my arm.  Blood was everywhere.  It took 2 days for the bleeding to finally stop.

Sam was returned to the neighbor who gave him to a nearby farmer.
