Abby

OK, technically, not a cat, but she LOVES cats.  Unfortunately that love is one sided for the most part.  Abby would love to play with the cats, but they find her a little too much - too big, too loud, too smelly and too energetic.

She has developed a strong bond with our latest resident, Little Tiger.  She thinks he is her puppy, he thinks she is his cat mama.  She cares for him, immediately reacts if he cries and yesterday I saw her dragging him by his arm across the room to her bed.  He wasn't hurt and didn't seem to mind.

Our neighbor found Abby running down the highway, full of fleas and ticks and starving.  Considering the traffic, she thought Abby had only an hour or so before she was hit and killed.

She brought her home, took care of the parasites and offered her to me.  I've never had a large dog before, but felt I needed one, living in the country, it's nice to have a dog that barks when something or someone is outside.

We're good buddies now, she's still a puppy and we both have a lot to learn.
